Q: What are your rates?

A: Coaching is $175 an hour, but multiple sessions may be purchased at once for a discount. Please inquire if you need sliding scale options.

Q: How does payment work?

A: You will pay by credit card when booking your session.

Q: How long does coaching take?

A: That’s up to you! Coaching is a flexible, client-driven process. A series of 4-8 sessions to be completed within 4-6 months is fairly typical when addressing a single issue. Couples coaching may take longer than individual coaching, as there are two people sharing the time and working on new skills.

Q: Where/how do sessions take place?

A: Currently, all coaching takes place over Zoom or by phone.

Q: Who do you work with?

A: I work with adults of all ages, genders, races, sexualities, and relationship styles. My ideal clients are brave, curious, open-minded, and ready for change and growth.

Q: What are your specialties?

A: I help clients with a broad range of sex and relationship topics. But some common topics in my coaching include:

  • Working on relationship issues, such as communication
  • Exploring open relationships
  • Learning about kink & BDSM
  • Figuring out desires and boundaries
  • Exploring dating for the first time or after a long break
  • Finding ways to experience more pleasure

Q: What if I’m not currently in a relationship?

A: You don’t need to be in a relationship to benefit from coaching. We can work on dating and meeting people, if that’s your goal. We can also work on your own relationship with sex and sexuality, and the sexual relationship you have with yourself. Many people find that building their confidence and solidifying their needs and wants around relationships makes meeting new people easier and less stressful. You are also better able to filter when you know what you want and need.

Q: Are sessions confidential?

A: Yes. I never share client information with anyone, though you are free to talk about our work with your friends or partners as you choose. And I always appreciate feedback and testimonials that I can share, even anonymously.

Q: What are your certifications?

A: I have a degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz with an emphasis on sex and gender. I am a Certified Intimacy Educator and a Certified Professional Coach. Being certified isn’t just about classroom hours. Certification means a dedication to upholding best practices in the field and a commitment to a code of professional ethics. In addition to professional training, I have years of personal experience with polyamory, open relationships, BDSM, and kink, and I’m active in the local kink and sex positive communities as a volunteer and event organizer.

I’m also a trained and certified mediator, and those skills add to my ability to help facilitate difficult conversations.

Q: How is coaching different from therapy?

A: Therapists treat mental illness, coaches do not. If you’re looking for more general support or if you’re looking for support with sex, sexuality, or relationships, your choice of practitioner and modality is a matter of personal preference. Read more on my blog.
