Sex education rarely addresses queer sex, and that leaves people trying to figure it out on their own. From finding pleasure to staying safe, there’s a lot of stigma and misinformation to navigate. Risk assessment is tricky when so many sex acts are misunderstood — from the belief that anal sex is always riskier to the assumption that oral sex is safer sex.

So what exactly is queer safer sex? It’s breaking down sexual risks based on body parts and acts, rather than gender or identity. And it’s acknowledging that emotional safety matters, too. This class with Stella Harris will cover everything you need to know to have a comprehensive safer sex negotiation, including tools for queer safer sex such as latex undies to gloves. We’ll talk about health risks you may not consider aside from STIs, such as bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and stomach bugs. What about hygiene — did you know that the timing of when you shave or brush your teeth impacts your sexual safety? Everything from the “lesbian” manicure to enema advice will be covered.

You don’t need to be on the LGBTQ+ spectrum to take this class! Sexual safety is for everyone, so if you have a body and enjoy playing with other bodies, this is for you.
